Thankfully, I had an opportunity to try again, many times. I worked with dozens and dozens of businesses, all powered by people who wanted to change the world. And as I experimented my way forward, with the help of some trusted guides, I learned that these businesses needed three things in order to build recurring sources of ideal customers:

The Christian Closet was growing as one of the leading online counseling services for LGBTQ Christians. As they grew to a dozen clinicians, they began running into administrative issues. How would they keep track of intakes, notes, and payments? 

We worked closely with The Christian Closet to create a custom clinician portal where clinicians could log in to track their clients, take clinician notes, as well as make payments. We created an admin portal so that the owners could keep a better eye on everything that was happening. 

We also redesigned their website and helped them install and implement a monthly newsletter to better interface with their clients. 

The custom platforms that we built allows The Christian Closet to collect clinician fees more consistently and also saves them $9,840 per year that they would have paid for similar SaaS products.

A psychotherapist and divorce mediator was looking to grow his clients and reach more people, but he had a severely outdated website that prevented him from making any substantial changes.

First, we helped him create professional videos to connect with his audience. Next, we created lead generators and began collecting email addresses. Then, we updated his logo, brand script, and we recreated his website to center around his lead generators. Finally, we began regularly publishing pinpointed content to his email and social media followers. 

Since working with us, he has been invited to speak internationally, he is gaining clients around the United States, he has a regular spot on a radio show, and he has a 800 person email list with a 5-12% click rate (very warm). He is regularly full with clients, and when he has availability we help him run a launch so that he fills up again with ideal clients.

Lead Generator Creation

A lead generator is a valuable piece of content that you give away for free in exchange for an email address. By creating a magnetic lead generator, we’ll help attract people to you as a generous thought leader in your niche.

Several years ago, Cyclical INC, a California non-profit, was experiencing growth. But since they had no way of connecting these people, the increased involvement was becoming a liability rather than an asset.

We built an email marketing system and began working with their leaders to create lead generating PDFs. Each of these lead generators spoke to the central cause of the organization. By consistently developing and deploying them, we grew their contacts from 108 to 2,500. After two months of this new nurture sequence, they saw a 10 point increase in open rates throughout the email sequence.

Product Launches

The director of the church planting division of a protestant seminary was having trouble. Their division had invested heavily in the creation of an online video course, but was having trouble launching it. As this was their primary income source, the stakes were high.

He called us in January and said they needed to sell at least 30 full price certificates or else they would end the year in the red, closing their division.

We started by organizing and gathering a list of their ideal customers. We created valuable touchpoints with them through webinars, emails, ebooks, and free courses. We mapped out and executed a launch sequence based on reciprocity and value. 

By July, we had 35 course sales and the division landed in the black. They continue to launch new courses today, copying and pasting the frameworks they learned in our work together.
